Tab-Tensioning System for a Flatter Screen Surface
EluneVision's Titan screens use a tab-tensioning system designed to keep the screen flatter than a regular motorized screen, both initially and over time. While the material of all motorized screens tends to start sagging over time, the Titan's tab-tensioning system helps keep the screen flat, allowing the user trouble-free enjoyment for many years. The reason that tab-tension screens are flatter than regular motorized counterparts is due to the use of both horizontal and vertical tension.
In order to keep the screen flat, the tab-tensioning uses:
A heavy weight bar is used as the bottom bar. The bar is made of solid steel, to ensure that the screen is under great vertical tension and eliminates swaying from vibrations or air movement in the room.
The tensioning system involves the use of tensioned tabs at each side. This system allows tension to be applied horizontally ensuring a flat surface.
The tension of the screen can be adjusted using adjustment knobs located at the end of the bottom bar.
Support for in Ceiling Installation
The screen is specially designed with RF receiver built into the screen housing. This receiver allows the use of RF remote control. This means that the screen can be hidden away for in-ceiling installations.
Black Borders for Enhanced Contrast
It seems like a small feature to have black borders around the viewing area, but it should not be underestimated. Having black borders improve the perceived brightness and contrast of a projected image by surrounding the projected images in black. This adds both punch and brightness.
There are many manufactures of screens today that just use a black metal bar to create the black border on the bottom of the screen. At EluneVision, we believe this is completely unacceptable. The reason why the bottom black border is so important is:
- it is extremely difficult to have the projected image fit perfectly within the viewing area. So a bit of stray light will hit the black border. The border absorbs the light so that contrast and brightness is enhanced
- the metal bars used by other manufactures are very small and narrow. This creates an unbalanced image as the top borders are bigger than the bottom border
- the metal bars typically are more reflective than an actual black border which means that the light will reflect off the metal bar, thus decreasing the perceived brightness and contrast
Heavy Bottom Metal Bar to Keep the Screen Flat, Year after Year
A weighty steel bottom bar is used despite the extra costs added to the manufacturing of the screens. The extra weight of the steel bar keeps the screen flat and wrinkle free for years of use. Unlike our competitors, the Titan series screens, through the use of steel bar and heavy duty materials, will be in great condition after years of use.
Triple-Layered, Fiberglass-Enforced Screen Material
The Titan series uses an extremely durable, heavy duty, triple layered material. The first layer is consists of the optical viewing surface. The second layer is a thick fiberglass layer giving the material strength and durability. The last layer is a fully black material that is opaque to all visible light.
At 1mm thick the middle fiberglass layer is extremely strong and resilient. This means that material is extremely resistant to having creases or folds and will easily last a life time. Not many manufacturers are using such thick material due to cost and most materials in the marketplace today will be paper thin and can be easily punctured with even a pencil.
The light absorbing black backing effectively stops light loss through the back of the screen. This results in more of the projected image reflecting back through the audience. The increase in projected light not only improves contrast levels, colour saturation, and brightness, it also allows for the projector to be run at a lower brightness setting, saving precious lamp life. Most projection materials sold today do not have the black backing and many manufactures claim they have opaque material. In reality, when the materials are held up to the sun, the light will pass right through showing the loss of light.
Whisper-Quiet Motor Operation
EluneVision electrics use a combination of quiet and reliable synchronous motors and the self-adjusting bearings to achieve low noise. The screen rolls down smoothly, as the motors feature our patented technology to remove vibration and noise.
Screen Drop Limit Controls
The EluneVision Titan screen has drop limit controls, allowing the user to set how far the screen will drop down automatically. This eliminates the need to manually stop the screen every time you want to use it - instead, you simply set up the limit once.
12V Trigger Output
To be used in conjunction with the drop-down limit controls, the Titan screen has a 12V Trigger port that can be wired to your projector. This allows the screen to be fully automated - when you turn the projector on, the screen drops down automatically. Similarly, when you turn the projector off, the screen will be rolled back up into its housing automatically..

Installation with Titan screens is easy and extremely fast. The screens come with a rail mounting system which means you have the freedom to place the mounts where you want. This greatly simplifies installation and shortens setup time. The mounting brackets support ceiling mounting, chain mounting and wall mounting. Furthermore, all our screens come with remote control, wall panel and 110V power plug for plug and play operation.
Remotes and Wall Control Offering Ease of Use
The Titan series comes with wall control panel, 110V outlet plug, as well as two remotes - one IR and one RF remote control. This ensures our screens can be operated under a variety of situations with the upmost ease. Furthermore, the 110V plug means you can get our screens up and running quickly and easily.
