  Powering down sleep ports
  When a computer or network device is turned off, the corresponding port on a traditional switch still consumes a lot of power. The TL-SL1024 automatically detects the connection status of each port and reduces the power consumption of the ports that are in standby mode.
  Energy management according to cable length
  Logically, short cables should consume less power due to the low signal degradation over their length. But this is not the case with most devices because they consume the same amount of power regardless of their length.
