• Neutral white balance. Perfect color every time: Imagine a perfect canvas on which you can paint your every dream. That’s what our Reference Studio 4K 1.0 white gain material looks like. With this perfect foundation, your colors appear brighter and more vivid than with conventional displays. Neutral color balance means there is no color shift, meaning the color you see on screen will be identical to the source.
• Even light diffusion for a perfect image from any angle: We believe the best display should be invisible. That’s why we designed our screen material to act as a near-perfect Lambertian diffuser. This means your display will reflect light evenly, making it virtually invisible to the audience. By reflecting light evenly with vibrant luminance from every angle, Reference Studio 4K ensures perfect reproduction without flicker, grain or color distortion.
• Micro-textured screen surface. Designed to be invisible: When projecting images and videos, every little bump and detail on the screen will be displayed, effectively reducing the resolution and sharpness of the image. We have spent years of research to develop a screen material with an ultra-smooth, virtually invisible microtexture. The texture of the Reference Studio material is so fine that the image remains sharp with near-perfect pixel accuracy, even with the latest 4K projectors.
• ¾ inch velvet covered aluminum frames: The aerospace-grade aluminum construction, combined with the dual-frame structure, means the screen will never bend or tilt under any circumstances. The 3/4″ frame is wrapped in high-density black velvet that has been selected for its ability to completely absorb any excess light. By making this stray light invisible, contrast and brightness are visibly increased, giving your content a sharp appearance.
• Double frame structure. No compromise on form or function: A quality frame can take your content to the next level, which is why we designed our bezels as a key element of our premium displays. Our signature Dual Frame construction features two different bezels: one frame holds the display, supporting the Adaptive Twin Tensioning system and ensuring a perfectly flat surface. The other houses the thin ¾” high-density black velvet bezel.
• Dual adaptive tension system for a perfectly flat screen: Projection perfection cannot be achieved if your screen is creased or wrinkled. We have developed a tensioning system that ensures a perfectly flat surface to increase the visual performance of your projector. The two-stage tensioning system is multi-directional: a frame tensioning system that anchors the screen at multiple points to the frame with equalizing rods around the perimeter of the screen to evenly distribute the tension.
